Picton Parade is a residential refurbishment completed in 2014, in Wynnum Qld.  The client had previously engaged Debstudio for some small renovation and decoration work at their previous residence in Manly.

The newly purchased home was a 70’s brick house which sits nicely elevated with great water views and although was in dire need of renovation internally, it was evident the home had great view and aspect, along with excellent structural integrity.

Debstudio’s scope included design and documentation of entire interior spaces including replanning of existing kitchen, dining and living spaces to create a more functional open plan living and better circulation space.   We closed in the existing part height partition at the top of the stairs and backed the kitchen onto this area, allowing a more cohesive living and dining area to the north.  On the ground floor, the Master ensuite was also replanned and extensive joinery was designed for the home office.

The materials selected, such as polished concrete, timber, laminate and reconstituted stone are robust and warm. These low maintenance materials suit this family of 4.  The bedrooms were designed and decorated to be more personal to suit the individual style of the occupier.  For all 3 main bedrooms custom bedheads were designed and unique wallpaper and pendants were selected to add to the ambience.

Overall the home feels welcoming and comfortable.  A place where the owners hope to reside for a long time to come.
