The Hollins Crescent project was a penthouse unit in New Farm, with great city and river views. The client felt their home needed a new lease on life and engaged Debstudio to help them achieve this. Blue and green hues were used to help enhance the connection between the unit and the river. To freshen the rooms walls were painted white, while feature walls were created by using wallpaper in the dining and tv lounge zone as well as the master bedroom.
Some of the existing timber furniture was stained darker to tie in with the newly selected items and a custom timber screen was built to help divide the tv lounge from the dining, yet still allowing the natural light in. Reupholstering the dining and lounge chairs helped tie them in with the river scheme. Artwork selection and placement was also part of the scope and had a dramatic impact on the feel of the revamped home.
As you can see from the before and after photos (below), this New Farm unit has been transformed to a more welcoming and calming environment, one where the clients can relax overlooking the city and river.
